Born in Alba, Piedmont, he began his career in the distribution sector, becoming a reference point in the food & beverage industry. His vision came to life in 2007 with the opening of Eataly in Turin, a concept that combines food, culture, and sustainability, quickly becoming a global phenomenon with stores in Italy, the United States, Japan, and other countries.

Before Eataly, Farinetti founded UniEuro, a consumer electronics chain, which he later sold in 2003. His career is marked by an innovative approach to blending tradition and modernity, with a strong commitment to product quality and supporting Italian agricultural supply chains.
