Biography

Patrick van Hoof is an entrepreneur and innovator with over twenty years of experience in the startup world. He is the founder of Connexy, a platform that combats online loneliness by creating authentic connections. Patrick addresses social challenges in the digital age, promoting meaningful interactions. He is also an Angel Investor at Fund Fellow Founders, supporting entrepreneurs in the Baltic and Nordic countries with investments and mentorship.

Additionally, he is a Mentor at Techstars, where he helps startups grow, focusing on fintech, emerging technologies, and the creation of collaborative ecosystems. Patrick guides companies on their journey of innovation, scalability, and development.

He holds an MBA in Innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he studied technologies for entertainment and innovation. He completed advanced courses at the MIT Media Lab and MIT Game Lab, focusing on human-computer interactions, augmented reality, and tangible interfaces. He was also a member of the original Google Glass Explorer program.
