Founder and President of BasicNet SpA, Marco Boglione is one of Italy's most visionary entrepreneurs in fashion. In 1994, he created BasicNet, the world's first fashion marketplace, listed on the Milan Stock Exchange in 1999. He built an empire starting from the acquisition of the bankrupt Maglificio Calzificio Torinese, revitalizing iconic brands like Kappa, Robe di Kappa, and Jesus Jeans.
In 2004, he acquired K-Way, transforming it from a simple functional windbreaker into a fashion cult object through strategic repositioning in the luxury market. In 2007, he added Superga to the portfolio, followed by Sebago, Briko, and Woolrich. BasicNet neither produces nor distributes directly: Boglione's innovative model is based on design, marketing, and global licensing management, with international partners handling production and distribution.
Beyond business, he founded Biru Agricola on Culuccia Island in Sardinia, a sustainable agri-food project producing wine, oil, honey, and local artisan apparel.
