Biography

Director, author, and artistic director among the most influential in Italian television, Carmelo "Duccio" Forzano has created some of the most iconic productions of recent decades. His career began in 1996 when Claudio Baglioni chose him to direct the music video "Bolero," launching a historic collaboration that led to directing the singer's concerts.

From 2005 to 2016, he was the historic director of "Che Tempo Che Fa" on Rai 3 with Fabio Fazio, also directing "Vieni via con me" and "Quello che (non) ho." He directed six editions of the Sanremo Festival (2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2019) and the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 at Turin's PalaOlimpico. He has collaborated with artists including Fiorello, Gianni Morandi, Paolo Bonolis, and Giorgio Panariello, directing shows like "Stasera Pago Io" and "Belve." Author of the autobiographical novel "Come Rocky Balboa" (Longanesi), he is also a TEDx Speaker and conducts university seminars on television directing.

He has worked for RAI, Mediaset, La7, and Sky.
